The following was devised and constructed quite some time ago.
Since then, a certain internet radio station functions on a similar basis. However, artistes and labels pay to have their products included.

The best I've found so far is theacousticstage

My original page starts here....

National Folk Radio!
Non commercial.

Just imagine it...
a serious, professional national radio station with a format similar to Radio1 / Radio2, playing a broad range of all things folk but with a bias towards Britain and Ireland, but especially English music and song.
The latest tracks, live sessions, interviews, gig round-ups, relevent comedy plus news and travel, as well as a fair smattering of traditional stuff!

Specialist shows on, say,...
African, Irish, middle eastern etc.
with Sam Tsipotey, Ron Kavana, Charlie Gillett, Andy Kershaw, etc.,

Guest presenters!
New presenters!

No Ads.

Why? Because there's some good stuff out there that many of us don't get to hear; it is simply very difficult to find elsewhere.

Fantasy Folk Radio?
Not quite, this one needs to go all the way, let's get it up and running.

-Yeah, (this is the hard bit) it needs formulating, financing, managing, and presenting to the broadcasting authorities or the beeb, until someone say''s 'Yes, I think you have a go-er here'.

What you see below you may find laughable, but it's just a starting point for getting ideas off the ground. Any suggestions, advice, expertise or otherwise email here. SUGGESTION BOX
